The ISEPEP9 will take place in Rennes in Brittany Region of France from July 10 to 14, 2022.
Previous ISEPEP meetings have been held in Roskilde (Denmark) in 2005, Dunedin (New Zealand) in 2007, Tsukuba (Japan) in 2009, Rennes (France) in 2011, London (Canada) in 2013, Aarhus (Denmark) in 2015, Tartu (Estonia) in 2017 and Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 2019. Ten years after its first visit to France, ISEPEP is thus back in Rennes. Brittany is beautiful place and July is a stunning time of year to visit the region.
Assessing and predicting the effects of the environment and human activities on ectotherm populations requires a better understanding of the physiological mechanisms of individuals to cope with the variability of their environment.
Ecophysiology is a discipline whose main objective is to study these mechanisms. It is based on an integrative approach, developed at several levels of biological organization, from the genes to the populations.
ISEPEP is one of the rare meetings focused on the environmental physiology of ectotherms (usually with a strong focus on ecophysiology of invertebrates) and has the potential to attract a large cohesive group of researchers working in this area.
The preliminary program includes :
- Ecophysiology
- Stress Physiology
- Ecotoxicology & Chemical Stress
- Phenotypic Plasticity & Life-history Traits
- Adaptability & Evolutionary Physiology
- Conservation Physiology & Macro-physiology
- Biotic Interactions (Pathogens, Microbiote)
Organizers: Hervé COLINET and David RENAULT (UMR EcoBio, University of Rennes 1)
Keywords : Cold Stress & Tolerance, Heat Stress & Tolerance, Ion & Water Balance, Anhydrobiosis, Chemical Stress, Dormancy, Phenotypic Plasticity, Evolutionary Physiology, Metabolism & Energetics, Gas Exchange, Eco-physiology, Physiological Ecology, Stress Physiology, Eco-Toxicology
Reminder
To attend the ISEPEP9 conference, you must proceed in two steps:
Step1) Submit an abstract (here) before May 21 (new extended deadline).
Step 2) Register for the conference and pay (here).
The registration fees will be a bit higher after May 15.
